WHITE CHRISTIANITY IS THE DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR US FASCISM

White evangelical Christianity, not the religion of Jesus, is the dominant threat to economic, racial, social, and legal justice in the United States. Do not expect white Christians to agree with that statement.

White evangelical Christians have long considered themselves to be loving, welcoming, and justice-minded people. They have long believed that their religious practices and beliefs are uplifting.

But millions of Africans were enslaved because white Christians preached, taught, and practiced white supremacy.

Indigenous people were massacred and lost tribal homelands because white Christians preached, taught, and practiced white supremacy starting with the Doctrine of Discovery.

Latinx people were driven from land owned by their ancestors because white Christians who preached, taught, and practiced white supremacy lied, stole land, and practiced violence against their neighborhoods and families.

Women and girls were treated as breeding stock because white Christians practiced misogyny, patriarchy, and sex discrimination.

Now white “evangelical Christians” are determined to stop Black, Indigenous, other people of color, women, LGBTQI persons, from voting with liberated-minded white people to create democracy and justice.

Now white “evangelical Christians” are working to prevent public libraries from having books that speak honestly about racial and gender injustice, police misconduct, wealth inequality, and the ways that white supremacy, greed, and addiction to military power have produced injustice in the United States and in other societies across the world.

The religion of Billy Graham, Jerry Falwell, James Robison, Norman Vincent Peale, and Billy Sunday produced the current brand of white Christianity.

White Christianity embraced the racism of George Wallace, Lester Mattox, Ross Barnett, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump.

White Christianity embraced Newt Gingrich, Lee Atwater, and Steve Bannon.

White Christianity embraced the judicial philosophy of Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, John Roberts, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett.

White Christianity embraced the National Rifle Association, the Federalist Society, and the Family Research Council.

White Christianity is the religious foundation on which American fascism is being constructed. That foundation has nothing to do with the life, teachings, and ministry of Jesus.

It uses Jesus as a disguise for racism, sexism, patriarchy, greed, imperialism, genocide, disease, and white nationalism so that politicians approved by white Christians can hold power.

White Christianity is committed to white nationalism and fascism.

That is why white Christians are working to suppress voting by Black, indigenous, and other people of color.

That is why white Christians are working to prevent women and girls from being free to choose whether and when to bear children.

That is why white Christians do not want to respect and protect LGBTQAI persons.

White Christians are determined for the US become a fascist society.

Do not help them.
